We are proud to offer an environment
where learning is Joyful.  Courtesy,
Acceptance, Caring and Compassion
prevail and all children are fervently
respected.

Under the guidance of Mary Lou Cobb,
founder and Head of School, the school
now serves almost 150 students from
all over Connecticut's Farmington Valley.
In 1997 the "Build the Dream" campaign
was launched to enlarge the school,
which now houses new Classrooms,
a Gymnasium, Library, Photography lab, Art studio, Computer Labs and Playing Fields.

Today, The Cobb School is a thriving Toddler, Preschool and Elementary school located on five picturesque acres.

Our approach to education is based on the teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori, one of the world's most respected educators. Her philosophy, often referred to as an "Education for Life", has been embraced by Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) approved schools around the globe.

In a Montessori school, joy and delight in learning are matched by values of hard work, self-discipline and integrity. In the Montessori classroom, children develop the skills of learning not only for school, but also for life.
